About the MPEQ-1

The MPEQ-1 is a faithful recreation of Undertone Audio's original super powerful hardware EQ, with an added unique saturation section for each EQ band. All the hardware's signature features are here — variable shape filters, wide-range Q control and Vari-Phase mode — joined by per-band saturation stages that make independent harmonic coloration across frequency ranges possible: push the highs into saturation while carving the mids, or drive the fundamental while keeping the top end clean. Once you've worked with it, you'll find it hard to go back.
