Let’s be honest. If you hire someone like Bill Stewart or Brian Blade to lay down your Jazz tracks in a high-end recording studio, you’ll achieve the best results. But, for one reason or another, that may be closer to fantasy than reality.

Drum tuning is critical to getting a good jazz tone. The skins here are wound high, carefully tuned to resonate, and gently treated to make them fit nicely into a mix.



The kick uses full natural-style skins without modest damping, played “beater-off.”

The sampled cymbals offer a smokey vibe reminiscent of vintage cymbals from the ’50s. The ride gives a beautiful harmonic wash that will bring life and air to your songs.



The result is a dynamic Jazz kit with loads of finesse and nuance ideal for Jazz styles or any genre where subtlety is key.
